810 Preps will go into hibernation for the winter, returning back this summer to ramp up for football season.

The 2010 football season should bring another wild season, with Kearney, Olathe North and Bishop Miege defending their state titles, while Fort Osage, Blue Springs and Gardner-Edgerton also advanced to the state finales.

The race for the Simone Award should also be a doozie, though running back Darrian Miller of Blue Springs looks to be the front-runner after finishing as the runner-up to James Franklin of Olathe North in 2009.
